Bed and Breakfast Venue | Bittern, Mornington Peninsula
Welcome to Summerfields Estate and Country House, a hidden gem on the Mornington Peninsula for the perfect getaway.
About Summerfields Estate
Set on beautiful grounds of 50 acres surrounded by a grove of 2,000 olive trees and an ornamental lake, Summerfields Estate and Country House is a unique American style country house. About an hour's drive south-east from Melbourne, Summerfields is just six minutes from the beach and surrounded by some fantastic local vineyards and cafes.
The country house was originally built as a Bed & Breakfast in 1998 by its first owners Maxine and Leo Janssen. The style and elegance of the house are typical of the Cape Cod style architecture reminiscent of the East Coast of America. Apart from being a Bed & Breakfast, Summerfields had been the host of hundreds of couples tying their knot on their very special day.
One of the main features in the main house is a majestic hall with a fireplace, which we called the Great Room. There are six bedrooms in this house and they are individually styled and decorated with their own ensuites.
The second building features a distinctive black and white tiled reception room with French doors to hedged terrace lawns and olive groves - a space where many wedding receptions were held here.
Now, Summerfields aims to provide memorable and relaxing getaways for those looking for something special.
